In support of the City of Durham Lions Club we are asking our members to dig into the back of their cupboard drawers for those old, unused or broken specs. They are invited to leave them in the Pavilion from where they will be donated to the Lions Club who, in turn, will arrange to have them repaired and recycled and ultimately sent to those who are in need but who do not have easy acces to them - via the SIGHTSAVERS scheme. Nationwide, they're hoping to collect 1 million specs a year!

!!! IN JUST ONE WEEK OVER 30 PAIRS OF UNWANTED SPECS HAVE BEEN DONATED - THANK YOU!!!
